Father Arrested After Mother and Daughter Stabbed in Ramla Family Dispute
On the night of January 17, 2026, a mother and her daughter were stabbed outside their home in the G'warish neighborhood of Ramla. The 19-year-old daughter was critically injured, while the 42-year-old mother sustained moderate wounds. Both were evacuated to Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh) for treatment. The police suspect the stabbing stemmed from an internal family conflict, as the family is known to authorities for prolonged violent disputes among its members. Shortly after the incident, the father, aged in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of involvement. Police from the Ramla station launched an investigation, collecting forensic evidence at the scene to reconstruct the events leading to the attack. The suspect is expected to appear before the Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court the following day, where authorities will seek to extend his detention as the investigation progresses.
