IDF Intelligence Warns Hamas Is Rapidly Rebuilding Military Capabilities

Senior intelligence officials from the Israeli Military Intelligence Directorate and Southern Command presented a serious strategic warning last week to IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir. They reported that Hamas is actively preparing for renewed conflict with Israel by rapidly restoring its military capabilities. According to the latest intelligence, Hamas is producing hundreds of explosive devices and anti-tank missiles each month. The group is also recruiting thousands of new militants, primarily young men aged 18 to 22, and has resumed training its elite Nukhba units.

Military Intelligence (AMAN) has identified significant efforts by Hamas to smuggle advanced drones and encrypted communication equipment from the Sinai Peninsula. Additionally, the organization is swiftly rebuilding its underground infrastructure and combat tunnels damaged across the Gaza Strip. Senior officers emphasized to Zamir that Hamas remains very strong on the ground, faces no internal threats to its authority, and its leadership is determined to maintain full civilian and military control over Gaza.
