The right-wing activist group Nahala movement, led by Daniella Weiss, established a new outpost in the Yirmeyahu Forest in the Gaza envelope on Thursday. Minister of Communications Shlomo Karai visited the site to express his support for the activists.
"This is a blessed step and well done," Karai told Weiss. He added, "With God's help, in the next government we will establish a strong right-wing government that will bring us to absolute victory and continue to plant and deepen roots in all the land of our forefathers, in the Gaza Strip and in Judea and Samaria."
Currently, police have permitted the movement's activists to remain at the location under supervision, in case they attempt to cross the border fence. MKs from the Otzma Yehudit and Religious Zionism parties have called for settlement in the Gaza Strip.
