Gal Amitai and Efrat Dor Marry in a Three-Day Desert Celebration
Gal Amitai, 40, and Efrat Dor, 43, got married on Saturday evening, nine months after getting engaged during a vacation in Cyprus and two years into their relationship. The couple invited close friends and family to a sunset wedding at Kfar HaMetaylim Mitzpei Dragot in the Judean Desert near the Dead Sea, and the celebration is expected to continue for three days.
The event is being staged in a Burning Man style, with nonstop parties and no fewer than seven DJs, including Sagi Zehavi. Actor Moshe Ashkenazi, a close friend of the couple, was given the honor of officiating the wedding ceremony. The desert celebration also drew many entertainment industry figures.
Dor wore a dress by designer Vivi Blaish, while Amitai wore a Noverish Dog suit designed by Maoz Dehan. For both of them, this is a second marriage. Dor was previously married for more than a decade to filmmaker Moshik Mimon, and they have two children.
Amitai was once engaged to Ajam Rodberg and later married Shir Levinson in 2021. That marriage lasted two years, ended in divorce, and the couple had no children. In a recent cover interview with Laisha, Dor said of her relationship with Amitai, "I didn't think I would have another relationship after the divorce. I got divorced and said, 'Okay, that's it, I understood, I was done.' It was a surprise. I think it is an amazing gift to love, it is a blessing. I did not really believe it was logical that I could love like this again, but I did a lot of inner work, with a shaman and a psychologist, I worked on it and I am still working on it."
