Israeli Actors Gal Amitai and Efrat Dor Endure Extreme Sandstorm During Honeymoon
Israeli actors Gal Amitai and Efrat Dor experienced an unexpectedly extreme honeymoon after their desert wedding. The couple, who recently married in Israel's Negev Desert, traveled to the Burning Man festival in Nevada's Black Rock Desert, USA, for their post-nuptial celebration.
Their romantic getaway quickly turned into a survival challenge when they were caught in a massive sandstorm. Instead of enjoying the festival's unique atmosphere, Amitai and Dor had to wrap themselves in scarves, don protective goggles, and seek shelter from the thick, abrasive dust clouds that engulfed the area.
The Burning Man festival is known for its harsh conditions, but the severity of this sandstorm surprised even seasoned attendees. The event contrasted sharply with their idyllic desert wedding, which took place in June at a venue called Tzukey Dragot in the Negev.
The couple, who have been together for about two years, got engaged nine months prior during a vacation in Cyprus. Their wedding was attended by many celebrity friends, with actor Moshe Ashkenazi officiating the ceremony.
This challenging experience in the American desert follows their earlier celebration in the Israeli desert, demonstrating their ability to face adversity together. Amitai was previously engaged to actress Agam Rodenberg and was married to Shir Levinson from 2021 until their divorce in July 2023.
