For the sixth consecutive year, the Hapoel Tel Aviv Football Club is participating in the fight against breast cancer. Players from the men's senior team will wear pink uniforms during their upcoming Saturday match against Ironi Tiberias, the international color symbolizing breast cancer awareness. The women's senior team will also wear pink uniforms for their away game against Hapoel Katamon next Thursday, and the youth team players will wear them during their Wednesday match against Hapoel Jerusalem.

As part of the initiative, players met with five breast cancer survivors who volunteer for the "Achot Tesha" (One of Nine) association. The survivors, including Asnat Uliel, Danit Glazer, Hilit Vaman Shamai, Shlomit Laufer, and Daniela Pink Neimark, participated in a photoshoot. Before the match, a ceremony will be held with the survivors, urging everyone to undergo regular screenings, emphasizing that early detection saves lives.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, aiming to highlight the importance of prevention, early detection, and treatment. While breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in Israel, a 90% recovery rate is possible with early diagnosis. The "Achot Tesha" association, in collaboration with Assuta Medical Centers, has developed a risk assessment questionnaire for women over 25.

Guy Primor, the club's CEO, expressed pride in continuing the pink jersey tradition and strengthening the partnership with "Achot Tesha." He encouraged the public to complete the risk assessment survey and get screened. Shlomit Laufer, a volunteer and survivor, shared her personal story of being diagnosed at age 30 and emphasized the life-saving impact of early detection and the support provided by "Achot Tesha."

Neta Oron from "Achot Tesha" reiterated the importance of early detection and encouraged women over 25 to use the risk assessment tool, which helps determine the appropriate follow-up plan with a physician.

Separately, before the Hapoel Tel Aviv vs. Ironi Tiberias match, a "Shavim" (Equal) sports event will take place starting at 4:30 PM. This event, organized by the club's "Shavim" group, which integrates individuals with disabilities and Hapoel fans, marks the start of its eighth season. The event, part of the "Shaveh Zeh Shaveh" (Equal is Equal) project, will feature children's activities, inflatables, and photo booths, with participation from the club's social media personality Lidor Admoni and ambassador Tal Moseri.
