Jerusalem Family Feud Escalates, Leaving One Man Dead

A man was shot and killed overnight in Jerusalem's Abu Tor neighborhood, with authorities suspecting the incident stems from an escalating family dispute. Police investigators from the Oz station and the Jerusalem district's forensic identification unit arrived at the scene, collected evidence, and launched an investigation into the circumstances of the shooting and to identify those involved. Commander of the Kedem region, Superintendent Yaniv Moyal, visited the scene, received a briefing, and conducted a situation assessment, directing further investigative actions. No arrests have been reported thus far, and the investigation is ongoing. One theory suggests the victim, identified as Aljabor, was shot inside his home, possibly by a family member from a rival branch of the family. He was then dragged outside the house, where he was shot again. The perpetrator reportedly fled the scene in a vehicle, allegedly hitting Aljabor with it as they left. His family described the incident as an "execution." However, given the presence of a weapon at the scene, investigators are also considering the possibility that a brawl involving firearms occurred. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
