The radio partnership between Yinon Magal and Ben Caspit, hosts of a morning show on 103FM, is reportedly nearing its end after more than seven years of frequent disagreements and on-air conflicts. The duo began hosting together in September 2019, and their clashes became a signature element of the program.

Magal announced his decision to end the show after the upcoming elections, citing "red lines that are not crossed" and "boundaries." He explained that the aggressive and vulgar nature of their discourse began to affect him, stating, "I found myself being drawn into this event. I wasn't like this before." He reflected on recent events, concluding, "I didn't like the aggressiveness. I said, he pulled me into a violent event, it doesn't suit me, we've exhausted this."

The decision follows a particularly turbulent week for the pair. On October 6, a heated argument erupted over the book "Mr. Heffker" and allegations against Prime Minister Netanyahu. Magal later accused Caspit of escalating the controversy, while Caspit claimed he was trying to help Magal during the broadcast.

Earlier in the week, Magal had suggested ending their partnership, telling Caspit, "I don't feel I can broadcast with a person like you anymore." Caspit responded that Magal was "pushing an open door," revealing that he had discussed ending the partnership with station management months prior.

This is not the first time their collaboration has appeared to be on the brink of collapse. Previous incidents include Caspit walking out of the studio, a show being cut short due to a severe argument, and Caspit's extended absence. In August 2023, after returning to the airwaves, the hosts and 103FM management even signed a "goodwill charter" pledging not to abandon, interrupt, or curse at each other.

Despite their tumultuous relationship, Magal and Caspit's show, airing from 9:00 to 11:00 AM, is considered a significant asset for 103FM. The station reported 84 million digital listening hours for their program in the past year, and previous TGI surveys indicated their second hour attracted approximately 139,000 listeners, surpassing a competing program on Galatz.

With both hosts expressing readiness to end the partnership after the elections, it remains to be seen if this marks a definitive end to one of Israeli radio's most unusual and successful duos, or if they will find a way to reconcile once again.
