Deni Avdija Stars in Preseason Win, Praised for Chemistry with Lillard

Israeli forward Deni Avdija delivered a standout performance in the Portland Trail Blazers' preseason victory over the Sacramento Kings, scoring 26 points in just 25 minutes. Avdija's explosive play, which included 9-of-13 shooting from the field and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line, led the Blazers to a dominant 110-98 win. He also contributed 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks, finishing with an impressive plus-minus of +22.

Avdija's performance drew significant praise from American media and fans, with many highlighting his synergy with teammate Damian Lillard. Analysts noted the seamless way Avdija and Lillard managed the game, complementing each other's playing styles. "Seeing Deni on the floor alongside a gravity-pulling player like Lillard is simply spectacular," wrote senior journalist Danny Marang, emphasizing how Avdija's drives open up opportunities for others.

Commentary from CBS described Avdija as "phenomenally efficient" even in limited minutes, noting he was just one rebound shy of a double-double. Social media reactions echoed the sentiment, with some calling Avdija the most dominant player on the Blazers and predicting a top-10 league ranking for him this season.

The Blazers, who led by as many as 35 points, are now 3-0 in preseason play. They will face the Golden State Warriors in their final preseason game before opening the regular season against the Phoenix Suns. Meanwhile, for the Kings, Israeli guard Emanuel Sharp had a notable individual performance with 12 points.
