Israeli player Noam Yaakov is facing a critical opportunity in Cleveland's final preseason game against the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night. The Cavaliers are looking to build chemistry and conditioning for the upcoming season, with coach Kenny Atkinson planning to give significant minutes to his starting lineup, including James Harden, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen, who each played over 25 minutes in the previous game. Peyton Watson is also expected to start and receive substantial playing time.
While the team aims to solidify its core, attention is also on players like Mario Hezonja, who has shown promise but has not yet secured a regular rotation spot. Yaakov, who signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Cavaliers, is expected to play primarily with the team's G-League affiliate. He did not receive playing time in the Cavaliers' previous 119-105 victory over the Magic. The article suggests this upcoming game is potentially Yaakov's last chance to impress the Cavaliers' coaching staff and earn a more permanent role.
The Orlando Magic will be playing with a nearly full roster, with only Jalen Suggs, Jonathan Isaac, and Anthony Black listed as absent due to illness or injury.
