Former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, once considered one of the world's top players, is reportedly seeking his next career move after being released by Monaco. Pogba, who recently served a doping ban, is open to joining Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States, with his representatives actively searching for a suitable team. Among the potential destinations mentioned are D.C. United, where Israeli player Tai Baribo currently plays and has scored 14 goals in 21 appearances. D.C. United is currently competing for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, sitting six points behind ninth place with seven regular-season games remaining.
Another MLS club reportedly interested in signing Pogba is Inter Miami, which boasts a roster of star players. New York City FC, a rival of D.C. United also vying for a playoff position, has also been cited as a possible landing spot for the French midfielder. However, no concrete progress has been made with any of these clubs at this time. Pogba's career began with Manchester United before a successful spell at Juventus, where he won four Serie A titles and reached the Champions League final. He returned to Manchester United in 2016 for a world-record fee at the time, winning the Europa League and League Cup. He was part of the French squad that won the 2018 World Cup and the 2021 Nations League. His return to Juventus in 2022 was hampered by injuries and his doping suspension, which was later reduced. He signed with Monaco in June 2025 to try and revive his career but was recently released.
