  • White City Buildings (WCG) acquired two Rome properties for luxury hotels.
  • The total investment for the two hotels is approximately 50 million euros.
  • One hotel will be 4-star near Piazza del Popolo, the other 5-star near the Spanish Steps.
  • Isrotel previously bought the historic Savoy hotel for 70 million euros.
  • Isrotel is also developing the 37-room La Scrofa luxury hotel.
  • Fattal group acquired Hotel dei Borgia in February 2025.

The Israeli real estate group "Binyanei Ha'ir Ha'levana" (White City Buildings, WCG) announced on Tuesday, October 13, that it has acquired two properties in central Rome for conversion into luxury hotels. This move expands the company's presence in the Italian capital's hospitality market, following similar investments by Isrotel and Fattal.

One of the acquired buildings, spanning approximately 6,000 square meters, is located in the historic Prati district near Piazza del Popolo. Previously a private school, it will be transformed into a 4-star hotel. The second property, situated near the Spanish Steps and Via Condotti, covers about 3,000 square meters and will become a 5-star hotel after renovation. The total planned investment for both projects is estimated at 50 million euros.

This development is part of a broader trend of Israeli investment in Rome's hotel sector. The Isrotel hotel chain, operating in Europe under the Aluma brand, previously purchased the historic Savoy hotel on Via Veneto for 70 million euros in September 2024. This 5-star hotel, featuring 117 rooms, is expected to open in the first quarter of 2027. Isrotel is also developing the La Scrofa project, a luxury hotel with 37 rooms slated for completion in the first half of 2027, after increasing its stake in the owning company to 75% in February 2025.

Additionally, the Fattal group, through its Leonardo network, acquired Hotel dei Borgia in the Monti district near the Colosseum in February 2025.
