Lonnie Walker, who left Maccabi Tel Aviv this past summer to return to the NBA, has signed a temporary contract with the Denver Nuggets for their training camp and preseason. While Walker has been attempting to impress during the preseason, he has not received significant playing time. Recently, he took a step that may indicate a change in his plans: his agent, Miško Ražnatović, announced that he would begin representing Walker starting Tuesday. This move does not definitively predict Walker's future but suggests he is preparing for the possibility that the Nuggets may not extend his contract. Walker's preseason performance has not been strong, with him scoring 3 points in 9 minutes in the first game against Utah, 1 point in 8 minutes in the second game against the Jazz, and playing no minutes in the final preseason game against Chicago. Prior to the preseason, Walker expressed his enthusiasm for Denver's winning culture and his commitment to doing whatever the team needs, stating he wasn't trying to prove anything but rather be a winning player. He emphasized his work ethic and desire to be the first in the gym each day.
