Two young men, aged approximately 20 and 38, were critically and moderately injured respectively in a shooting incident that occurred Monday evening in the Bedouin town of Shaqib al-Salam in the Negev region. Both were transported to Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva for treatment. Magen David Adom reported that the younger man's condition was described as very critical, while the older man's was moderate.

The emergency services received a report at 9:16 PM about a young man, around 20 years old, arriving at a local clinic in Shaqib al-Salam with penetrating wounds suspected to be from gunfire. Medical teams provided initial treatment before his transfer to Soroka Hospital, where his condition was listed as very critical. An advanced paramedic with Magen David Adom stated that the teams found the youth unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, and that resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions, artificial respiration, and medication, were administered before his transport.

Minutes later, at 9:21 PM, medical teams were alerted to a 38-year-old man injured in the same violence incident. He received initial treatment and was then taken to Soroka Hospital, with his condition described as moderate after sustaining penetrating wounds.

This incident follows the killing of Musa Yousef Al-Jubour, 26, last Saturday in the Negev city of Rahat. Al-Jubour was shot inside his home, then dragged outside and shot again before being run over, according to local reports. The death of Al-Jubour brings the total number of victims of violence and crime in the Arab community to 184 since the beginning of 2026.
