Three foreign activists were detained and subsequently deported from Israel after being caught filming IDF soldiers at a security checkpoint in Hebron on Sunday. The activists arrived from the Palestinian side of the checkpoint, located between the Jewish settlement and Palestinian Hebron. An IDF soldier on duty apprehended them while they were photographing the post and the soldiers present. A review of their recording devices revealed additional images of IDF soldiers from previous shifts.

During questioning at the Hebron police station, it was revealed that one of the detainees is the president of a radical anti-Israel organization, Agir pour la Palestine, and actively promotes BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) activities. Following their interrogation, the three were transferred to the Population and Immigration Authority for a hearing regarding their deportation.

Authorities decided to expel them from Israel within 24 hours, and they were moved to a holding facility pending their removal from the country. Information from the investigation and intelligence was shared with the relevant consulate representatives. The Israel Police stated that they will continue to act decisively in cooperation with other security and law enforcement agencies to prevent friction and violence stemming from incitement.

This incident is part of a series of similar events involving foreign activists apprehended in the West Bank who allegedly aim to provoke confrontations with security forces and settlers.
