Avri Gilad Discusses Single Life, Admits Dating Struggles

Israeli host Avri Gilad revealed on the reality show "The Kitchen VIP" that he has not dated since his separation from his wife. When asked by fellow contestant and judge Ruti Brodo if he was going on dates, Gilad responded with surprising candor, stating, "Since I separated from my retired wife, I've had nothing. Absolutely nothing."

Gilad, accustomed to leading discussions on television and radio, found himself answering intimate questions during the program. He explained that his expectations for single life differed significantly from the reality he encountered. "I thought that as soon as I went out, I would just start..." he began, but corrected himself when Brodo suggested he would be "hunting." Gilad clarified, "'Hunting' is a problematic word, because I no longer wish to be a predator in any way, shape, or form. I've exhausted that stage of my life as a man."

Despite his reluctance to pursue relationships aggressively, Gilad humorously admitted he anticipated being highly sought after. "I thought I would go out and be the best aged cut of meat on the market, and I discovered I'm last year's sausage," he confessed, eliciting laughter from the other participants.

One participant, the husband of Gia Bar Gurvitz, expressed surprise at Gilad's situation, telling the cameras, "He's not succeeding with women, that's what he essentially said. He's been on the market for six months and isn't getting offers, it's quite surprising."

When asked if he was actively trying to meet people, Gilad stated he was not making an effort. He concluded with quiet resignation, "Right now, it's not working out yet, maybe it will work out and maybe it won't."
