Member of Knesset Avi Maoz strongly condemned the actions of a group he referred to as 'Provocation Women' during the Rosh Chodesh prayer service at the Western Wall on Monday. Thousands of worshippers gathered for the festive prayer marking the start of the Hebrew month of Heshvan. However, as is customary on Rosh Chodesh, disturbances occurred in the women's section due to the arrival of Reform women who allegedly attempted to disrupt the prayer.

According to reports from the scene, while prayers proceeded smoothly in the men's section, the women's section experienced significant disruption. This was attributed to attempts by the Reform women to break the established order and bring Torah scrolls into the area, actions deemed contrary to the regulations and laws governing the holy site.

Maoz, who also chairs the Noam party, stated that the women's sole objective was to desecrate the holy site and solicit funds through this desecration. He contrasted this with the orderly prayers in the men's section and the women's section prior to their arrival.

Maoz further addressed his legislative efforts, explaining that he had proposed the "Western Wall Law" to prevent such desecrations. He expressed regret that the previous coalition did not advance the bill. Maoz pledged that following the upcoming elections, his party, if empowered, would ensure the passage of the Western Wall Law even before the formation of the next coalition government.
