Israel’s Health Ministry said it has imposed strict restrictions on two Zol U’B’Gadol branches in Jerusalem, at 113 Jaffa Street and 214 Jaffa Street, following a police investigation into Prינוק baby fruit puree products. The decision came after laboratory tests and extensive inspections.
So far, the ministry has been informed of two separate incidents in which five children, around age three, were hospitalized after eating fruit puree purchased at those branches. Tests found an abnormal amount of substances from the benzodiazepine family.
The ministry said other reported cases involving similar symptoms were examined and ruled out. The restrictions remain in place as the investigation continues.
