His funeral will be held tomorrow with family members only. "It's a shock. Although he wasn't feeling well, he simply collapsed and that was it. We are still processing it," his widow, Miriam, told ynet. Born in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 1949, Berlovich immigrated to Israel in 1958 and settled in Holon before moving to Tel Aviv. He studied medicine at Tel Aviv University. In 1997, he was appointed Deputy Director-General of the Ministry of Health. From 2006 to 2017, he served as the CEO of Wolfson Medical Center.
