Israel officially concluded its swimming season on Saturday, October 10, after it began on March 25. Starting Sunday, October 11, lifeguard services will cease at most of the country's beaches. The Ministry of Interior has warned that swimming at beaches without lifeguards is prohibited and life-threatening, with potential fines for violations.

However, some cities will continue to operate lifeguard stations beyond the official end date. In Haifa, lifeguards will remain on duty at "Dado," "Zamir," "Carmel," "Bat-Galim," and "Naot" beaches until November 10. Their hours will be from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM until the switch to winter time on October 25, after which they will work until 5:00 PM.

Hertzliya will maintain four lifeguard stations at "HaSharon," "Akadia Tzafon," "Akadia Darom," and "HaKochavim" beaches starting October 11, reducing to two stations from November 14.

In Rishon LeZion, lifeguard station No. 3 will operate daily from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM during the winter. Ashdod will extend lifeguard services until November 10, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The swimming season at the Sea of Galilee also ended on October 10, with the Kinneret Cities Association announcing the closure of lifeguard stations at all 16 of its affiliated beaches. While swimming is prohibited without lifeguards, the beaches remain open for recreation.

In Eilat and at the Dead Sea beaches, lifeguards are stationed year-round at official sites. Authorities urge the public to check lifeguard station operating hours and refrain from entering the water at beaches where swimming is forbidden.
