Police are investigating a shooting incident in Yavne that left a man in his 20s in critical condition. The incident occurred Saturday evening in a private home. Initial police findings suggest a "negligent discharge" from a legally owned firearm. Authorities suspect the injured man's younger brother, who works as a licensed security guard, accidentally fired the weapon while handling it.

Emergency medical services were called to the scene and provided advanced medical treatment, including resuscitation efforts, to the victim. He was transported by ambulance to Kaplan Medical Center in critical condition. MDA paramedic Shaked Iaso described the scene, stating, "We saw the man unconscious, without pulse or breathing, with severe injuries to his body. We provided him with advanced medical treatment including resuscitation efforts and evacuated him in a mobile intensive care unit to the hospital, his condition critical and we are fighting for his life."

The injured man was later transferred to Assuta Medical Center in Ashdod. The investigation is ongoing.
