Since the October 7th attacks and throughout the ongoing war, Qatar has been permitted by Israel to transfer over $100 million in aid to the Gaza Strip. This assistance, provided under an agreement with the United Nations, aims to support Gaza's residents and ensure the continued operation of aid organizations, hospitals, and essential facilities. The aid includes fuel, food, shelter, medical supplies, and infrastructure rehabilitation.

From October 7, 2023, to the end of March 2026, Qatar has supplied over 30 million liters of fuel, with more than 1.3 million liters delivered in September alone via trucks. The Qatari Red Crescent has distributed over 88,000 meals to displaced families, costing approximately $489,000, and plans further food supplies valued at $4.5 million. Other humanitarian projects have received hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Additional Qatari initiatives include clearing rubble from hundreds of homes, drilling and maintaining over 30 water wells, and allocating more than 88,000 tents for an estimated 436,000 Gazans by 2025. During Ramadan in February 2026, Qatar distributed over 80,000 food baskets, 300,000 clothing items, and winter supplies. Infrastructure projects, including road clearing in cooperation with Hamas-affiliated local authorities, have also been undertaken.

Earlier aid included medical supplies worth about $200,000 to Gaza's Ministry of Health hospitals on October 18, 2023. A Qatari philanthropy campaign raised approximately $30 million for Gaza within a year. Qatar also sent over a thousand tons of aid to El Arish, Egypt, via 97 flights for subsequent transfer to Gaza. The Qatari Red Crescent has implemented over 50 projects costing more than $55 million since the war began.

While officially designated for humanitarian purposes, concerns exist that some funds indirectly benefit Hamas by freeing up its budget and providing resources. Israel has not prevented Qatar from maintaining its influence in Gaza, though its impact is reportedly reduced compared to pre-war levels. Qatar's long-standing presence in Gaza, through the "Qatari Reconstruction Committee," has seen over $1 billion invested over more than a decade.
