A 26-year-old man, Musa Yousef Al-Jabour, was murdered on Saturday in Rahat, a Bedouin city in the Negev desert. The assailant allegedly shot Al-Jabour in the leg inside a room in his home, then dragged him into the street, continued shooting him, and finally ran him over.

Initially, police suspected a family feud as the motive, but it now appears the killing stemmed from an argument over a parking space. Officers from the Rahat station were dispatched to the scene, launching an investigation, collecting evidence, and conducting extensive searches for the suspects.

The murder occurred after two weeks of relative calm in the Arab community in Israel. So far this year, 177 people have been murdered in the Arab community, compared to 198 during the same period last year.
