Hapoel Rishon LeZion, a team in Israel's second-tier National League, announced on Friday a new sponsorship agreement with business figures Dudu and Natalie Vaturi, who currently own Bnei Eilat of Liga Bet. Club chairman Eli Senior clarified that the deal is a sponsorship agreement, not a full transfer of ownership. Natalie Vaturi is set to serve as the club's president.

The Vaturi couple will invest NIS 5 million over the next five years, with NIS 650,000 allocated for the current season and NIS 4 million for the subsequent four seasons. The club will remain under the ownership of the public Hapoel Rishon LeZion association and will continue to be managed by the current leadership, headed by Chairman Eli Senior and CEO Avi Levy. The team will be renamed "Hapoel D.N. Rishon LeZion." Ariel Barak will serve as the owners' representative.

Natalie Vaturi is expected to join the association and gain signing authority as early as Sunday. The Vaturis plan to inject NIS 1 million in January to strengthen the team. The couple met recently with the Mayor of Rishon LeZion, Raz Kinlstlich, and expressed their readiness to immediately take over the club's management. The secret negotiations were exclusively revealed by Channel Sport.

Dudu and Natalie Vaturi stated their excitement about joining the project, seeing great potential and an opportunity to build a path to success together. They believe Rishon LeZion's football club belongs in the Premier League and aim to help the club advance in all areas, strengthen the senior team, invest in the youth department, and contribute to the community. Natalie Vaturi's appointment as president signifies their desire for active involvement and collaboration with the club's management and the city.

Mayor Raz Kinlstlich thanked the Vaturis for adopting the team, viewing the move as a significant expression of confidence in the club's potential. He expressed certainty that this partnership will lead the team to success and bring pride to the city. Club CEO Avi Levy described the agreement as a significant addition of strength, enabling long-term planning for both the senior team and the youth department. Club legal advisor Guy Tal called it an excellent agreement for both parties, which, with the support of the mayor and new sponsors, can lead Rishon LeZion to higher places.
