A 19-year-old woman was shot dead overnight between Wednesday and Thursday in the Jawarish neighborhood of Ramla. Large police forces were dispatched to the scene, and officers opened an investigation into the circumstances of the shooting while searching for the gunman.
According to police, officers from the Coastal District and the Ramla station, together with Border Police National Guard fighters, reached the site shortly after the report came in and began collecting evidence and findings. At the same time, they worked to seal off the area and conduct wide searches to locate the suspect.
No suspects have been arrested so far, and police said the motive for the shooting is still under review. The killing adds to the ongoing wave of violence in Arab society.
The death raises to 136 the number of people murdered in the Arab community since the start of the year. The investigation is continuing.
