Sony has introduced two new budget-friendly headphone models, the WH-CH730N and WH-CH530, aiming to provide quality sound and features without the premium price tag.
The WH-CH730N are positioned as a mid-range option, offering active noise cancellation and comfortable design. Reviewers found they deliver warm sound and an impressive 50-hour battery life, with the battery being easily replaceable. The accompanying Sony app allows for easy customization. While the noise cancellation is considered adequate for the price, it doesn't match higher-end models like the WH-1000XM4C, particularly with high-frequency sounds. A notable omission is the lack of a charging cable. These headphones are recommended for users seeking a balance between cost and performance, suitable for general use. They are available in white, black, beige, pink, and blue for a recommended retail price of 399 shekels.
The WH-CH530 are presented as an ultra-light and affordable choice, boasting a 55-hour battery life and a quick charge feature providing over 1.5 hours of playback from just five minutes of charging. The Sony app also functions effectively with this model. However, these headphones lack active noise cancellation, offering only basic noise isolation. The design is described as simple and the plastic construction is basic, with a non-folding structure. Despite these limitations, they are considered a good value, especially for younger users or those prioritizing price. They performed well during physical activity, proving comfortable and unobtrusive. The WH-CH530 come in black, white, pink, blue, mint, and peach orange, with a recommended retail price of 199 shekels.
