A special celebration of Torah learning and prize distribution took place at the Tchasknov Yeshiva Gedolah, where dozens of students were tested on the entire tractate Pesachim. The event was held together with a Sheva Berachot celebration for the son of the yeshiva head, Rabbi Chanoch Tirnauer.
The public examination was conducted by Rabbi Naftali Nosboum, Rabbi Tzvi Barverman and Rabbi Simcha Rabinowitz. The gathering drew a broad rabbinic and public turnout, including the rebbes of Pinsk-Karlin, Belz, Nadvorna Jerusalem, Skulen Jerusalem and Zvehil, as well as Rabbi Avraham Avish Tzinewirt and Rabbi David Alter, a son of the Gerrer Rebbe.
Among the civic figures present were Beitar Illit Mayor Meir Rubinstein, Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Yitzchak Meir Berim, and Rabbi Shmuel Halperin, chairman of the Daily Mishnah study initiative. During the event, the yeshiva’s main hall was named “Hichal Eliyahu” in honor of its president, Rabbi Eliyahu Klein, chairman and owner of Akka Real Estate.
The main ceremony was led by Rabbi Menachem Shlomo Barkman, head of the Tchasknov institutions, and speakers included Rabbi Yosef Barkman, Rabbi Chanoch Tirnauer, Rabbi Moshe Friedman, Rabbi Yosef Hirshler, and Rabbi Mordechai Lemberger. Parents of the students also attended and praised the yeshiva staff, especially Rabbi Elimelech Miller, the mashgiach, whom they said is deeply devoted to the success of the yeshiva and its students. The evening ended with dancing in honor of the Torah, accompanied by the Malchut Choir, singer Benyamin Leifer, and musician Tzviki Levin’s orchestra.
