The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) thwarted a terror attack in northern Gaza overnight, identifying two Hamas operatives who had used the Kamal Adwan hospital as a base for combat operations. According to the IDF spokesperson, the two terrorists emerged from the hospital complex carrying explosives that had been brought from within the medical facility. One of the operatives proceeded to plant the explosives near the "yellow line" area, intending to attack IDF forces operating in the vicinity.

IDF forces immediately identified the threat and neutralized the two individuals. One of the eliminated terrorists was identified as Muhammad Tamus, who served as a sniper in Hamas's military wing while simultaneously presenting himself to the public as involved in civil defense activities. The IDF stated that these individuals had recently advanced various terror plans from within the hospital and worked to restore the organization's military capabilities, in systematic violation of the ceasefire agreement.

Security officials reiterated that Hamas systematically converts areas designated for civilian care into terror infrastructure, cynically exploiting hospitals and medical facilities. This activity, which contravenes international law, directly endangers civilians in the Strip. IDF forces continue to be deployed in the area according to directives and agreements, and will persistently act to neutralize any immediate threats to the forces.
