The Israeli military reported that IDF and Border Police forces responded to a report of stone-throwing targeting an Israeli civilian in the area of Azaria, in the Samaria Brigade region, earlier on Wednesday. The civilian was injured and received medical treatment.

During the incident, which involved a confrontation between dozens of Palestinians and Israeli civilians, a security officer and another Israeli civilian fired their weapons. Security forces worked to disperse the gathering. A combat commander identified a "terrorist" running towards him carrying a suspicious object and neutralized the individual.
