The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Wednesday demolished the home of Kadri Samara, the terrorist responsible for the shooting attack at the Ein Ri'a spring in the Benjamin region, which resulted in the death of Natanel (Nati) Sharon. The demolition caused a loud explosion that was heard in Givat Ze'ev and other nearby communities.

Sharon, 48, a resident of Ali Zahav, was at the spring near Naveh Tzuf with his eldest son on the eve of Yom Kippur to immerse himself before the holy day. Samara opened fire on them, killing Sharon. Security forces immediately launched a manhunt for the terrorist. During his escape, a soldier shot and wounded Samara, who then fled to a hospital in Ramallah. Approximately three hours after the attack, Duvdevan Unit soldiers apprehended him.

Sharon, who is survived by his wife, Dr. Mirav Sharon, a lecturer at Ariel University, and six children, worked as an information systems analyst. Shortly after the spring attack, and before Samara was captured, soldiers from the 890th Battalion of the Paratroopers Brigade thwarted another attempted attack near the community of Ganim in the Menashe Brigade. Forces killed one terrorist who attempted a ramming attack and arrested another individual in the vehicle.
