A new report from the CIES research institute has revealed the most valuable players on each team in Israel's Premier League, excluding loan players, with some unexpected names topping the lists for major clubs. While established stars are present, several players who have not yet made a significant league impact are surprisingly listed as their teams' most valuable assets.
Maccabi Haifa's representative is the young defender Elad Amir, valued between 3.2 and 3.7 million euros, despite not having played a league game this season. This places him above the top players from Bnei Yehuda and Beitar Jerusalem. Similarly, Bnei Yehuda's most valuable player is identified as right-back Guy Mizrahi, with an estimated value of 2.8 to 3.3 million euros. Mizrahi has started four of the team's first five league games and contributed an assist.
Dor Peretz of Maccabi Tel Aviv leads not only his team but the entire league, with an estimated value between 5.2 and 6.1 million euros. Peretz has had a strong start to the season, scoring eight goals in the first five league matches, including a hat-trick and a brace. Following him is Douglas Owusu from Hapoel Tel Aviv, valued at 4.9 to 5.7 million euros, who has scored two league goals for his team.
Beitar Jerusalem's representative is Yarden Shua, estimated at 1.5 to 1.8 million euros. Shua has made five appearances, starting one, and recorded one assist without scoring. Higher on the overall list than Shua is Maccabi Netanya defender Bakary Konate, valued between 2.0 and 2.3 million euros.
