On Sunday, the IDF struck in southern Gaza and killed Akram Muhammad Mahmoud Abu Madi, whom it identified as a Hamas military wing operative who entered Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre. The military said he was targeted in the south of the Strip.
According to the IDF spokesperson, Abu Madi had recently been trying to help rebuild the organization and advance terrorist plots against IDF forces and Israeli civilians. The statement said Southern Command troops remain deployed in the area in line with the agreement.
The IDF said its forces will continue operating to remove any threat.
