Maccabi Tel Aviv will mark three years since the October 7th attacks with a special commemorative jersey during their upcoming home game against Bnei Sakhnin. The jersey will honor the 137 club fans who were murdered or fell since that day and during the ensuing war. The players will wear a jersey based on the team's home kit, featuring a Star of David composed of the names of the 137 fans. This follows a similar initiative in December 2023, when a jersey honoring 74 fallen and murdered fans was worn against Maccabi Netanya. A club statement said, "They were supposed to be in the stands, cheering, singing and being part of the Maccabi spirit. They will continue to be an integral part of the Maccabi Tel Aviv family, and we will continue to carry their memory, commemorate their stories and ensure their names remain present in the heart of the club and its stands." In addition to the jersey, a display bearing the names of the fallen has been erected outside Bloomfield Stadium, allowing fans to pause, remember, and pay their respects.
