Chris Jones has officially left Hapoel Tel Aviv and signed with Red Star Belgrade, the Serbian club announced on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, after the EuroLeague regular season ended the previous night. He is set to replace Codi Miller-McIntyre, who departed for Olympiacos.
Red Star will be Jones’s fifth EuroLeague team. He began his top-flight European career with Maccabi Tel Aviv in the 2020-21 season, then played for ASVEL, spent three seasons with Valencia, and joined Hapoel Tel Aviv last summer after losing to the Israeli club in the EuroCup final with Valencia.
The move is the first signing made by Red Star’s new coach, Ioannis Navarro, and sporting director Milos Teodosic, as the team is expected to undergo major changes this summer. Jones averaged 10 points, 4.2 assists and 2.0 rebounds in EuroLeague play for Hapoel this season.
In the domestic league, he appeared in the first two games of the final series against Maccabi Tel Aviv, but was not registered for Games 3 and 4.
