Chris Jones has officially left Hapoel Tel Aviv and signed with Red Star Belgrade, the Serbian club announced on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, after the end of the regular season. He will replace Cody Miller-McIntyre, who moved on to Olympiacos.
Red Star will be Jones’ fifth EuroLeague team. He began his EuroLeague career with Maccabi Tel Aviv in the 2020-21 season, then played for ASVEL, spent three seasons at Valencia, and joined Hapoel Tel Aviv last summer after losing to the Israeli club in the EuroCup final with Valencia.
The move is the first signing under Red Star’s new coach, Ivan Navarro, and sporting director Milos Teodosic. The club is expected to undergo a major overhaul this summer. Jones averaged 10 points, 4.2 assists and 2.0 rebounds in the EuroLeague this season for Hapoel.
In the Israeli league playoff finals against Maccabi Tel Aviv, he played in the first two games and was not registered for Games 3 and 4.
