  • New footage shows Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar hiding in Gaza's ruins.
  • Sinwar appears unarmed and disguised as a woman in the video.
  • He was managing fighting from the ground with associates.

  • His death occurred during a chance encounter, not a special operation.

New footage has emerged showing Yahya Sinwar, the leader of the Hamas terror organization, hiding in destroyed buildings in Gaza. The video depicts Sinwar moving between ruined homes in combat-affected neighborhoods, attempting to evade IDF forces amidst the rubble. Similar to previous footage from his final days, Sinwar appears to be unarmed and disguised as a woman to avoid identification, while other militants around him, also wearing women's clothing, were armed.

The footage also shows Sinwar and his close associates managing the fighting from the ground using maps, flashlights, and basic cellular communication. This documentation is believed to be from the final days of the individual responsible for the October 7th attacks, who was eliminated by IDF soldiers on October 16, 2024.

Contrary to Palestinian accounts of a heroic battle, Sinwar was not killed in a special operation. Instead, he was eliminated in a chance encounter between his group and IDF forces from Battalion 450 of the Bislamach Brigade and Brigade 460, who were participating in a maneuver as part of their command training. Sinwar was killed without the forces initially realizing his identity, and he was only identified as one of those eliminated in the incident afterward.
