Yaki Admakar, a panelist on Channel 14’s "The Patriots," announced on Tuesday that he is starting a nationwide "mezuzah charity" initiative. He said he will travel anywhere in Israel to personally affix mezuzahs in the homes of people who ask him to do so.
The announcement came after Admakar drew wide attention for placing a mezuzah at the home of Guy Maroz the day before, an event he said had "broken the internet" because of the huge reaction it generated. Admakar said he received a "crazy amount of responses" after Maroz publicized the ceremony.
Admakar said anyone who contacts him privately and wants a mezuzah installed can expect him to come to their home anywhere in the country. He described the effort as a "mission" and said he feels he is "giving of himself" for the Jewish people.
According to the report, the goal of the initiative is to help people who want to fulfill the mezuzah commandment but have not yet done so, by providing Admakar’s personal assistance at no cost.
