Yaki Edmakar Installs Mezuzahs at Israeli Author Irit Linor’s Home Following Media Buzz

Yaki Edmakar, a panelist on the Israeli show "The Patriots," continued his national mezuzah installation campaign by affixing eight new mezuzahs at the home of author and fellow panelist Irit Linor on Monday. This follows Edmakar’s viral mezuzah placement at media personality Guy Maroz’s residence, which sparked widespread social media attention.

In a heartfelt video shared online, Edmakar expressed excitement about performing the mitzvah (commandment) of mezuzah placement, emphasizing the significance of affixing mezuzahs not only on external doorways but also on internal ones, a detail Linor admitted she was previously unaware of. Linor thanked Edmakar and the attendees for helping her fulfill this important Jewish tradition.

During the ceremony, Edmakar recited the traditional blessing, stating, "This is the gate to the Lord; the righteous shall enter through it," to which Linor humorously responded, "So how will I get into my house?" Edmakar reassured her with a smile, "It will be fine, a true righteous woman."

Edmakar’s initiative began after his mezuzah installation at Guy Maroz’s home, where Maroz was filmed wearing a bicycle helmet instead of a kippah, drawing attention to the event. Following the positive public response, Edmakar announced on "The Patriots" show the launch of a nationwide mezuzah lending service, pledging to personally visit homes across Israel to affix mezuzahs for any Jewish individual requesting the mitzvah.
