Hapoel Haifa has strengthened its squad for the 2026/27 season by signing Ity Zafrani on loan from Maccabi Tel Aviv, according to a report first published on Sport5. The move was completed through his agent, Adam Kidan.
Hapoel Haifa does not have an option to buy the 19-year-old striker, but as part of the deal it committed to Maccabi Tel Aviv that Zafrani will receive at least 20% of the team’s minutes. That condition was needed to finalize the transfer.
Zafrani arrived after a standout youth season in which he finished as the top scorer in Maccabi Tel Aviv’s U19 team and helped it win the Israeli youth league title. He scored 25 goals as Maccabi Tel Aviv edged Hapoel Tel Aviv in a title race that went all the way to the final round.
After signing, Zafrani said, “It is a great honor for me to sign with a club like Hapoel Haifa and begin a new path as a senior player. I will do everything to repay the trust and make the fans happy.” He joins a list of recent Hapoel Haifa additions that includes Gal Jafri, Noam Cohen, Tal Na’im, Ahib Habiballah and Sali Fahima.
