Hapoel Jerusalem announced the expanded coaching staff that will guide the club in the 2026/27 season, after already confirming the arrivals of Sasha Obradovic and Jalen Smith. The Jerusalem club said on Tuesday that Obradovic will lead the staff.
His assistants will be Shay Olarczyk and Theodoros Giannakopoulos, both of whom also served under Yotam Alon. A new addition came with the Serbian coach from Red Star Belgrade, Boris Peta.
Peta, 38, worked as Obradovic’s assistant at Red Star. Before that, he served as an assistant to Aleksandar Dzikic with Georgia’s national team, and he also worked for clubs in Georgia and Kazakhstan.
Hapoel Jerusalem also named several other staff roles for the coming season. Guy Gepni will be the club’s head of performance, Yair Shevach will coach individual skills, and Efi Aviv will serve as fitness coach.
