A Haifa resident, Ali Massouda, suspected of murdering his wife last week, had his arrest extended for a third time. The Haifa Magistrate's Court extended his detention by a week on Thursday. Massouda was arrested after his wife, Yanina (Yonit) Rossinova, was found dead in their home with signs of violence.

Rossinova's mother, Anna, stated that in the weeks leading up to the murder, Massouda exhibited extreme jealousy towards her daughter, checking her phone and accusing her of infidelity. A friend of Rossinova told Haaretz that Massouda's behavior escalated in the final weeks of her life. In one instance, he allegedly struck Rossinova on the head with her own phone, breaking it.
