The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) eliminated a Hamas terrorist in southern Gaza on Tuesday, identified as Muhammad Abdelaziz Muhammad Neggar. According to the IDF, Neggar infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7th Hamas-led attack and subsequently presented himself as a journalist, concealing his affiliation with Hamas's military wing.

In recent times, Neggar was reportedly advancing terror plots against Israeli forces and civilians and working to rebuild Hamas's capabilities, in systematic violation of the ceasefire agreement. The IDF stated that prior to the strike, measures were taken to minimize civilian harm, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.

IDF forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area according to the agreement and will continue to operate to neutralize any immediate threats.
