Police Stop Cyclist, Discover He Was Riding a Stolen Bike
Police from the Glilot station detained a cyclist on Tuesday after spotting him commit a traffic violation during a proactive enforcement operation in the Yarkon district. A check found that the rider was a 22-year-old Palestinian from Hebron who was in Israel without a permit.
Officers then determined that the bicycle he was riding was suspected of having been stolen from a Herzliya resident in February. The owner told police that the bike had been taken from him several months earlier.
The suspect was arrested and taken to Glilot station for questioning. The bicycle’s owner was summoned to file a complaint and receive the property back.
