Police Foil Car Theft Attempt Near Jerusalem, Arrest Suspect

Police officers from the Kiryat Malakhi station thwarted a car theft attempt and arrested a suspect at the Hizme checkpoint. During a targeted operation against property and vehicle theft, officers identified a stolen vehicle at the checkpoint shortly after it was taken.

When the vehicle was spotted, officers set up a roadblock to stop it. The driver attempted to flee and evade arrest, but was apprehended due to the swift actions of the police. A search revealed the suspect was in Israel illegally.

The suspect was taken for questioning at the police station, and the stolen vehicle was returned to its owner. Police stated they will continue to act decisively against vehicle theft, smuggling, and trafficking, ensuring those involved are prosecuted.
