Israeli Police Arrest Motorcyclist in Nazareth Found with Two Loaded Guns Hidden Under Seat
Northern District motorcycle police arrested a 19-year-old motorcyclist from Nazareth about two weeks ago after spotting him riding with a folded license plate and attempting to flee. Upon stopping and searching the scooter, officers discovered two loaded handguns concealed beneath the driver's seat, identified as Colt and FN revolvers. The weapons were confiscated and the suspect was taken in for questioning. Following the investigation, the prosecution filed charges and requested his detention until the trial at the Nazareth District Court.
This arrest is part of an ongoing crackdown by Israeli police in the Northern District against violent crime and illegal firearms possession. Since the start of the year, over 580 deadly weapons have been seized in the district, with numerous suspects caught "red-handed" carrying arms. The police emphasized their continued commitment to combating violence and illegal weapons through various measures including interdiction of smuggling, covert operations to prevent crimes, and rapid responses to violent incidents, all aimed at ensuring public safety and prosecuting offenders.
