Police File Charges Notice After Illegal Resident Allegedly Assaulted Teen in South Tel Aviv
A prosecutor’s statement was filed on Tuesday against a 37-year-old Palestinian from Judea and Samaria, an illegal resident, who is suspected of lurking near a 16-year-old boy in South Tel Aviv and committing an indecent act. Police say an indictment is expected in the coming days.
According to the suspicion, the incident took place in South Tel Aviv when the suspect waited for the minor, approached him, and carried out the indecent act. After the report was received, police quickly located and arrested him. He was then taken into custody.
During the days he spent in detention, investigators gathered evidence linking him to the alleged offenses. His remand was extended repeatedly as the case developed. Now that the evidentiary basis has been established, prosecutors have moved forward with the statement of intent to charge.
