New Jewish Holiday Songs Released for Sukkot Celebration

As the Jewish holiday of Sukkot approaches, a wave of new music has been released by various Jewish and Hasidic artists, offering a soundtrack for the festivities. These new releases include original songs composed for the holiday, as well as fresh arrangements of traditional melodies and collaborations.

Among the new tracks is "Ushpizin," a song by Hershy Rotenberg featuring Abimy Lenger and Yudelle Shatz, which captures the moment of entering the Sukkah and welcoming its guests. The "Oyfn Stage" project also debuts with a collection of holiday hits, featuring artists like Shimmy Kaplan, Simcha Birnbaum, and Yanky Oish, with musical arrangement by Moishe Jacob. This project is the first in a planned series of holiday compilations.

Other notable releases include Moishe Davidowitz's "Moishe's Ushpizin," which reinterprets familiar holiday tunes with modern arrangements, featuring Avi Lerner and Mendy Goldberg. Israel Portnoy presents "Shower Me With Love" by the "Thank You Hashem" group, using rain as a metaphor for divine love and abundance, with music composed by Reuven.

Akiva Gruman, known for previous projects, dedicates a musical production to Hoshana Rabbah, featuring Dovi Meisels and Ahrele Samet. Shuki Solomon and Yisrael Makmel collaborate on a vibrant song titled "Shir L'Sukkot," celebrating the holiday's joy and unity. Chaim Yaskil offers a new rendition of the classic "A Sukkele A Kleine," while the children's choir "Zingerlich" performs "Vesham Na'aleh," depicting the pilgrimage to Jerusalem.

Additional new music includes Shloime Bukshpan's rendition of "Chavukah U'Dvukah," inspired by a request from the Talner Rebbe. Mordechai Shapiro releases a double single with "Chaneinu" and "Just The Way You Are," focusing on personal faith and resilience. Avrumi also unveils his new single "Kabetz Kabetz," the first from an upcoming album, timed for the influx of visitors to Jerusalem during Sukkot.
