Malchut Choir Releases New Sukkot Medley Featuring Top Jewish Music Stars
As the Jewish holiday of Sukkot approaches, the Malchut choir has released a new, energetic musical medley titled 'Yom Tov Dig.' The production aims to bring the joy of the holiday to every home in Israel.
The medley features prominent singers including Mendi Weiss, Yudi Bialostotzky from the US, Yoeli Davidovitch, child prodigy Ari Kraus, and the Shmulik Weinrich orchestra. The project is produced by the 'Anachnu V'Tzaitza'ei'nu organization as part of content packages distributed to tens of thousands of homes nationwide before the holiday.
This release marks the fourth installment in the 'Simchat Beit Hashoeva' (Rejoicing of the Water Drawing Ceremony) series, which the organization has produced annually with the Malchut choir and leading vocalists. The medley blends beloved, authentic holiday songs with contemporary hit melodies. Pinchas Bichler, who directs the Malchut choir, conceived the concept and vocal arrangements, while Shmulik Weinrich provided the musical production.
Top musicians contributed to the project, including Avi Singolda on guitars, Avi Avidani on drums, Dor Assaf on wind instruments, and Moran Bar On, Rafi Davidov, and Roi Brandais on brass. Recordings took place in various studios, including 'Anachnu V'Tzaitza'ei'nu,' Yonatan Blau, 'Zemirot - Bent,' and Michael Weinberger studios. The final mix was handled by Chaim Moses and Meir Gerstein.
The 'Yom Tov Dig' medley joins a wave of new musical releases preceding the holiday. Yoeli Davidovitch recently launched his debut album 'Ananim,' inspired by his Talmudic studies, and Chaim Green released a new single, 'Zman Simchateinu.' The timing of this release is deliberate, coinciding with Sukkot, known as 'The Season of Our Rejoicing,' providing a fitting spiritual backdrop for the medley's message.
