Noa Kirel Bakes Challah for Hospitalized Children During Sukkot
Israeli pop star Noa Kirel visited children in the Hemato-Oncology Department at Tel Aviv's Dana Children's Hospital, part of the Ichilov Medical Center, during the Sukkot holiday. The visit, organized in collaboration with the Ezrat Achim organization, aimed to bring joy to the hospitalized children during the festival.
Kirel met with the children in the ward and spent time with them. She then joined them in the department's Sukkah, a temporary booth constructed for the holiday. The visit concluded with a festive challah separation ceremony, performed by Kirel in the Sukkah, with prayers for the recovery of the hospitalized children.
The ceremony, known as "Hafra'at Challah," is a traditional Jewish practice where a portion of dough is separated and offered, often accompanied by prayers for health and well-being.
