Poll Shows Gantz Ally Leading, Netanyahu Bloc Securing Majority
A new poll released by Channel 16 indicates that former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot, a prominent figure in Benny Gantz's National Unity party, is currently the leading individual candidate with 21 Knesset seats. The Likud party, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, follows closely with 19 seats.
The survey also projects Shas and Otzma Yehudit each securing 8 seats, while United Torah Judaism is expected to win 7 seats. Notably, the poll suggests that both Yifat Shasha-Biton and Ram Ben Barak, running on separate lists, would surpass the electoral threshold.
Despite Eisenkot's individual lead, the bloc aligned with Prime Minister Netanyahu is projected to achieve a majority in the Knesset. This bloc, comprising Likud and its potential Haredi and far-right partners, is estimated to garner a total of 53 seats, sufficient to form a governing coalition.
The poll was conducted by Midgam and surveyed 1,000 respondents, with a margin of error of 3.1%. The results highlight a complex political landscape where individual candidate strength does not necessarily translate into a clear governing majority for their respective parties.
